WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM re-imagine black metal as an ode to rain storms, wood smoke and the wild energies of the Pacific Northwest. Their first studio album, Diadem of 12 Stars (2006) was a genre-dissolving classic that created a melancholy and psychedelic Cascadian atmosphere.
Since that time, Wolves In The Throne Room have become one of the most potent and highly regarded bands in extreme music. The listener encounters crystalline metal riffs and ritualistic laments that sing of endless rain falling upon ancient cedars. Their music is a doorway into a mythic ethereal heathen landscape entered through music, magic and dreams.
Now with their latest offering in THRICE WOVEN, a portal into the dreamworld of Wolves in the Throne Room opens again with a glorious return to the blazing and furious Black Metal that they alone can create!

After two successful years, Riffstock is back to finish 2019 with a banger night full of with face melting riffs, psychedelic grooves and rock’n’roll. All night long! Come down and see Christchurch’s heavy hitters in a night of endless riff worship and rock’n’roll! Closing with Tuscoma, one of the heaviest bands out of Wellington, they are sure to deafen those ears!
Pieces Of Molly
The balls to the face group of musicians delivering a killer show without sacrificing their unashamedly heavy, riff- based sound. Their attraction is undeniable, their sound is one to be reckoned with.
“THC-fuelled pandemonium”. Three piece heavy psych, mixing elements of classic stoner grooves, desert rock and heavy sludge/doom. EnFire has made a name for themselves in the local scene with crushing riffs and back breaking live performances.
The New Zealand duo are Fargo’s woodchipper, mincing the corpses of post-hardcore and black metal into a fine red mist: Joe Wright’s deranged drumming and Kurt Williams’ frenetic guitars and demon-possessed vocal delivery serve as the raucous machine’s whirling blades of death.
Sludge Kung Foo from Christchurch, fresh out of retirement after a long hiatus. They’re ready to smash some riffs out and tear some walls down.
Dressed as lifeguards to save the musically drowned, THE WENDYS are the drunken threesome love child of Link Wray, Dick Dale and Buddy Holly. The Wendys brand of surf rock and garage punk has been making feet move and butts groove at venues and festivals around the country.

Like a pitch fork to the skull King Parrot are ready to tear through your eyes, ears and brain once again with their 3rd full length release Ugly Produce. A step-up in every sense, the reckless Aussies have topped themselves with another savagely brutal LP; a ten-track feast of distinctively punishing and powerful anthems veined deeply in the extreme underground sound.
Never the band to shy away from their roots and the scene that gave birth to them, King Parrot are forever on a mission to take this depraved, insidious wrecking machine to audiences around the globe. Their unique over the top sound is ever prevalent and honed further on ‘Ugly Produce’ while remaining true to the fundamental ideals the band started with; Angst, Aggression, Absurdity and Antics.
After recording 2015’s Dead Set in the US, 2017 saw the band head back home to where it all began – recording their third full-length album with Blood Duster’s Jason PC, at the enigmatic Goatsound Studios. Ugly Produce reaches new heights in abrasive song-writing and serves up an odious pile of repulsive flavours you wouldn’t want to find on your local fruit and vegetable shelves. A repugnant harvest of the band’s gnarled and nasty fusion of grind, death metal, thrash, and punk rock having become more caustic than ever.
King Parrot have evolved into a fully-fledged touring and creative force barely stopping for a breath since their inception on the international metal scene in 2013. Tour after tour with the likes of Soulfly, Obituary, Down, Cattle Decapitation, Exodus, Superjoint, Voivod and their own headlining tours in Australia, the band are now hardened road warriors. King Parrot possess a rare and deep hunger for the raucous and off the wall live shows that they’ve become revered for. These outings fuel the creative drive within the band to compose only the most angst-driven and vile expressions to ensure maximum involvement from audiences that lap up every frantic beat, chainsaw riff and psychotic scream. Ugly Produce is a testament to the blood, sweat and tears poured into everything King Parrot does.
