The boys were at it again. Except this time, they were louder, prouder and fueled by something more phenomenal than rock itself. That’s right, I am talking about the Fade to Black boys who bring The Metallica Experience, and I can tell you that it’s exactly that, an experience. Whether you’re in the mosh pit or to the side, you can instantly feel like you’re hearing Metallica themselves.
Having seen them previously in August 2016, this time was something much more. They poured all their heart, soul and madness into this gig. A new level of energy that the crowd couldn’t help but get caught up in.
Understandably some hits weren’t covered, but hearing Master of Puppets, Where Ever I May Roam, One, Fuel and many more classics brought my rock fist up and pumping to the ever-climatic Metallica covers.
Opening for the boys were Stripsearch, the Faith No More cover band who brought the sass to the show. I can’t think of a better band to bring the hordes together to prepare for the madness that followed.
